The train station at Branxton is only a 3-minute drive away or major connecting station of Maitland a 25-minute drive.

We understand that your pets are part of the family, and they are most welcome in a Sencia community. You are required to obtain our consent in advance for consideration in line with our Pet Policy which we can provide to you upon request. Generally, larger dogs or breeds we consider dangerous or disruptive to other residents will not be permitted at the village. However, animals such as birds and cats (indoor) are generally accepted.

This is the best decision we have made to move to Green Ridge Hunter Valley as we were struggling to manage the upkeep of our home and yard. We visited a few different Over 55 establishments and felt that there was something missing with the ones we had visited. When scrolling through Facebook we came across an advertisement for Green Ridge Hunter Valley. We phoned and made an appointment to visit. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff who offered information and answered all our questions. We then toured the village and the amenities which include an indoor swimming pool, outside spa, fitness room, theatre room, bar area, coffee area, a chef kitchen, library, bowling green, BBQ area, games room with a full-sized pool table, meeting room, dining area and craft room which residents have access to. The range in designs and features of the Villas made it easy to pick the Villa which most suited our needs and the end-to-end process to purchase our selected Villa was stress free as the Green Ridge staff where so helpful and accommodating nothing was too much trouble. Initially we thought that moving to North Rothbury would mean extra travelling time to our appointments in Newcastle. As it turns out we have easy access to the Hunter Expressway and the travelling time is the same or sometimes less depending on the time of day. We have been in our Villa for two months now and we are very happy, all the residents have made us very welcome, and we are enjoying all the amenities and attending functions arranged by either management or the social committee. Having peace of mind knowing that we can access assistance from the Concierge and that we also have access to the Nurse on Call system located in our Villa should we have a fall or need medical help urgently. We have no hesitation in recommending living at Green Ridge Hunter Valley, the people, staff and amenities are amazing.

My husband & I inspected many over 55 Villages in our local area but none were suitable for our needs. We decided to look out of our area & Greenridge Hunter Valley was a new village we were eager to inspect. When we arrived for our first inspection we were greeted with much warmth & friendliness. Our family were a bit concerned about the fact we had decided to sell our family home of 43 years & move to an over 55’s village. On inspection our family were very happy that we had made the decision to make Greenridge Hunter Valley our new home. We love everything about our new home, it is well laid out, airy & bright. The spacious covered alfresco area is perfect for BBQ’s & family gatherings. All the facilities are amazing & there are activities every day. The Pavillon is large, very modern & a lovely place to catch up for coffee & many other activities with other residents. The team at Greenridge are extremely helpful, friendly & always available to speak to. The village is very close to the local shopping centre, wineries & the Hunter expressway. The residents at Greenridge are very friendly & everyone enjoys participating in activities. We were quite concerned about leaving our family home but we have settled in very well & have certainly made the right decision.

My journey to living at Green Ridge Hunter Valley has been remarkably easy. After my retirement from full time work, I decided that I needed more than apartment living as I needed more room for my pastimes and hobbies. I looked at houses and villas but ultimately, I did not want the work involved in maintaining the property. After first staying with friends in Green Ridge I was immediately impressed with the spacious design of the villas, the amenities and the grounds. I made the decision to move here. The sales team showed me through the villas and I found one that was perfect for me and the team reserved my choice whilst I sold my property. The team made this all very easy and with no pressure. After moving in I am totally enjoying all that Green Ridge has to offer. I regularly use the pool, spa, gym and cinema. There is a very active social side to the village too, with games nights, pool comps, trips etc. Being close to the wineries is also a benefit with a number of eateries and restaurants at your fingertips as well as an ever-growing shopping centre a stones throw away. All this and easy road access to major centres and airport has re-affirmed my decision. I haven’t looked back.

When I first contacted Green Ridge I was reticent about moving into what I saw as a “Retirement Village”. Bec was very understanding and absolutely lovely – she took me on a tour of the available houses (not “Townhouses” or “Villas” – real houses!) and helped me to see the benefits of a place like Green Ridge. I no longer felt like I was retiring, more that I was moving to a place that suits my needs. I chose Green Ridge because it is not far from Sydney (where my children live) but far enough away that I feel like I live in regional Australia, so best of both worlds. This is a delightful estate with fantastic on-site amenities and many close-by experiences to enjoy. Let’s be honest though – it’s also a tad luxurious! My new home has NO STAIRS and a flat driveway – if you could see my old house you would understand the appeal! I love that I can pretty much do what I want inside the house, so make it truly feel like my home, knowing that Madaliene and her team are making sure that whatever I do is safe and that the work is completed by qualified tradies. The facilities are awesome. It’s hard to believe that I can access these as part of the (low) monthly fee. Can’t wait to play pool on the full-size table and watch movies in a Gold-Class quality theatre! The team is unbelievable. Bec is always happy to give advice, Hazel is incredibly active in building the community and is ALWAYS ready to answer questions or give advice, and Madaleine has an obvious love of her work and is SO responsive to any issues I might have. I couldn’t ask for a better team. Where we are is so easy to access – 30 minutes off the M1, no Google maps required. Having Coles, doctor, dentist, pharmacy and vet so close was unexpected and really makes a difference to my (and my cats’) health and eating habits. I know Huntlee is going to grow but at Green Ridge I will always have these facilities closely accessible. One thing that has struck me since I moved here a month ago – EVERYONE is smiling. People in stores are happy to see me. Tradies turn up and are genuinely interested in helping me. The staff at the Huntlee Tavern aren’t annoyed at making a cocktail – they are HAPPY to create food and drink that I will enjoy. I don’t intend to every leave here – it is so different to what I have had for 60+ years in Sydney.

I first saw the advertisement on a billboard in the Pokolbin and as I hadn't seen anywhere else that I liked in the area, I thought I would investigate !! Christine was very helpful in showing me the display villa and the plans of the various villas, It did not take me long to decide that this was where I wanted and needed to be !! and so I reserved a villa I then had to sell my farm in Gresford before I could move in and Madaleine and her team were very helpful and patient in my situation! I wanted to live in roughly the same area to where my friends lived and at the same time to be nearer to Sydney and Melbourne where my 3 sons and their families were, access from the nearbyM15 gave me this. My villa is compact giving everything one needs, and pleasant with fabulous storage and so well built. the Green Ridge facilities are out standing in every respect !! The Green Ridge Team are amazing and so patient with us "oldies" !

My initial thoughts on selling our family home and moving into Green Ridge Estate was that I was not old enough to go into an over 55 Village. I was not ready for this change but Geoff was, maybe in about five years time as we approached a more elderly status. But with that in mind we went and had a look and taking a tour with Bec. We were very surprised and impressed with the size of the Villas and the future layout of the Village Area. Needless to say on our second visit we signed up, never looking back. We love living there. Since moving into Green Ridge we have enjoyed the social aspect of the many activities and making new friends. It has been a non hassle event for us as we settled in straight away. The Green Ridge staff are always there to help and encourage each resident of the Village.
